Simple analysis of difference in lap times in particular parts of the track can rationalise lost time and assist in the learning curve

Rod end failure when a race driver over-tightened a wheel nut, causing him to violently steer into me.

Fortunately go-karting is a much lower stakes game that car racing so it was a quick fix and back onto the next race.
